Huistoe (but not finished...)

Lanseria Airport, Johannesburg...freezing cold! Mark and I are flying back to CT, Tim and son Brandon and daughter Ashley have joined us to say farewell. Although our big road trip is finished, we've still got a couple of project visits to complete... so don't leave just yet!
Hi all, just a few brief blog details to let you know that this is d-day of our big Road Trip…  Tim is back home with his family in Jozi and Mark and I fly back to the Mother City. There are two people that I particularly want to thank and that's Tina (Mrs. Tim) and Tami (Mrs. Mark), it’s not easy holding down the home fort on your own with kids.
Technically speaking although we’re heading home, we still have three more projects visits to complete. If you remember The Journey, projects 22 & 23 in the Free State ‘fell off the bus’ during school exams in June and we could only visit them during July. And Hlanganani Arts & Crafts near Kruger couldn’t make our dates, so we’ll be documenting a replacement project in Cape Town. However these will be fly-in fly-out visits, so although our Road Trip is homeward-bound, we’ve still got a few more project visits to tack onto our blog

Thanks to those of you who’ve travelled every step of the way with us. With almost 11 000 hits on our blog from Old Mutual staff and a strong following of readers in the UK, US, Germany, Colombia, Australia, India, Kenya, Uganda, China and Israel to mention just a few countries, we’ve been simply blown by the comments, feedback and support. It’s really been a very meaningful experience and we’ve tried to keep it real.

Stay with us for this last leg and I’ll keep you posted for the remainder of our journey. PS: The Last Road Trip blog is still going to happen with Mark and Tim, but ag, you know with guys, they need time to prepare...
